Stop Enduring Pelvic Pain. It's time to heal.

I'm Evelyn Hecht, PT, a Master Clinician and Chronic Pain Specialist dedicated to helping you reclaim comfort and confidence.

I bring over 25 years of experience as a pelvic physical therapist, university educator and women's health researcher, having personally guided more than 15,000 patients of all genders through complex pelvic challenges.

What I've learned is that for chronic pelvic pain, urgency, burning, PGAD and other distressful pelvic symptoms for 3+ months, along with good biomedical treatment, lasting healing requires treating more than just the body—it demands working with the nervous system, immune system and brain.

My passion is teaching you to understand the underlying drivers for your persistent pelvic pain and dysfunction. This education empowers you to stop fearing your symptoms and shift your system out of protection mode and into healing mode from the inside out.

Whether you're currently seeing a provider or managing care on your own, PelvicSense delivers this crucial self-management toolkit—accessible from the privacy of your home, at your own pace.

Let's begin your shift toward lasting relief.

Committed to Helping All Individuals Overcome Pelvic Pain

The Personal Catalyst: Why I Fight Pelvic Shame

Growing up in the "give it to me straight" energy of Brooklyn NY, reading my mother’s copies of Ms. Magazine, and living abroad helped me become a pioneer and leader in pelvic physical therapy.

I grew up in a strict, repressed religious family where open discussion about bodies and sexuality was limited. The "private parts" were considered shameful, disgusting, something to be kept hidden, so I experienced strong feelings of pelvic shame. My well-meaning mom was brought up in a repressed family and culture where these topics were often avoided. When I got my first period, then called "the curse," she hurriedly handed me a pad without a word and gave me aspirin for the cramps. Period. This experience highlighted the lack of positive and informative education surrounding bodily changes that many individuals face.

No hugs to welcome me into womanhood, no talk about the joys of sex. Sex was an activity to avoid, and if you "did it," you'd probably experience pain or get "knocked up." Hmm...

These early experiences illuminated for me how deeply shame and silence can impact our relationship with our bodies, particularly in the sensitive pelvic region, and how this can contribute to or exacerbate pain and dysfunction.

My family was blessed to live abroad during my teens. This helped me see other cultures with very positive views about the female body and helped me heal from shame."

The Professional Mission: From Clinic to Digital Healing

Early in my hospital career, patients confided in me with their most embarrassing concerns—leaking, pain during sex, and constant urgency. They often asked: "What do I say when friends invite me out?"

These deep, quiet confessions showed me my true calling: to help people let go of the shame and the cultural belief that these issues are "just something they have to live with."

Now, by drawing on years of successful treatment techniques from my NYC practice and delivering them through this accessible digital program, I can empower thousands more with the self-care steps needed to achieve significant, shame-free pelvic healing.
